Episode Four

Sitting on a ramp to the Mass Pike in a light rain, all Meghan could think about was incense and peppermints. With a naive optimism only available to a fifteen-year-old, she takes to the road with a rucksack containing the entirety of her earthly possessions, and a Buck knife on her belt for security.

Hitchhiking down that lonesome highway can be tough for anybody, but a young woman on her own faces a particular set of challenges. However, Meghan is growing up before our eyes, strong enough to stare down challenges both physical and mental. As will become something of a leitmotif, Meghan, much like Blanche DuBois, is dependent on the kindness of strangers.
