Episode 1

And so we begin. If you have listened to Episode 1 of my podcast, A Writer Reads, you have had the chance to meet Meghan, through the eyes of the narrator. Trigger Alert, we are going to run straight into issues of physical violence, and teen pregnancy with all its implications.

Meghan is young, superficially tough, and aggressive in her own defense. Regardless, she needs allies. Her father, “Danny Boy” Boyle, provides the logical option, but given his own challenges, he is not equipped or prepared to step up. Pretty much raising herself Meghan grows a bit wild, a bit hard, and at fourteen sex leads to pregnancy. How she deals with that eventuality will set a path. And that is where we leave her.
